PatchWerk's June 2010 Session Report


Who's Werking in Studio 995?


Rick Ross is currently working on his fourth studio album entitled "Teflon Don", set to be released in July 2010. The lead single is "Super High" featuring Ne-Yo. Artists Kanye West, Jay-Z, T.I., Raphael Saadiq and Drake are confirmed to be on the album. Producers will include J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League and No I.D. The first promotional single was "B.M.F. (Blow Money Fast)"featuring Styles P. The album will also include the 3rd installation of Maybach Music. This past June, Ross had several songs mixed by Ray Seay at PatchWerk. All of Ross' sessions were assisted by PatchWerk engineer Dee Brown.

Prior to their commercial debut in 2009, Young Money frequently appeared on rapper Lil' Wayne's mixtapes. Since then Young Money has grown into a hip hop supergroup. This past April, one of its nineteen members, Lil Twist had sessions engineered by guest engineer KY, assisted by PatchWerk engineer Charles Hammond. His debut album '"Don't Get It Twisted" is set for a late summer 2010 release, and his debut single, "Love Affair" is set to be released soon.

Musician, producer, singer and songwriter Sean Garrett, who has been responsible for a series of chart-topping compositions, was also in the studio this past June. All of Sean Garrett's sessions were done by PatchWerk engineer Mike "Snotty" Miller.

Who's Werking in Studio 9000?



Number one on the charts, overpowering magazine covers, and sold out mix tapes, SEEDA has become the number one Indie hip-hop artist in Japan. Since his debut, SEEDA has released seven albums and 12 mix tapes in Japan. His latest album self-titled "SEEDA" was listed as one of the top 20 in Japan on the Oricon Charts and his new single is "Hell's Kitchen!" In addition to working with PatchWerk's Marketing Manager, Kervins Chauvet, over a period of months on records for his latest projects, Seeda had several songs mixed by PatchWerk engineer Mike Wilson this past June.

PatchWerk Studios is definitely Gucci Mane's studio of choice as he is there almost daily putting in work. This past June he was in the 9000 studio having several songs recorded by PatchWerk Engineer Kori Anders. Gucci has a new official mixtapeout, entitled "Mr. Zone 6" out with some of his new 2010 singles featured on the project. Gucci Mane's latest album "The State vs Radric Davis" on Warner Bros. Records is currently in stores.

Young Jeezy is currently working on his latest LP "Thug Motivation 103". The project is the fourth studio album by rapper Young Jeezy. It has no confirmed collaborations yet. Production will include tracks by Shawty Redd, JR Rotem, Scott Storch, Just Blaze, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Beewirks, Kanye West, Sakwe and The Inkredibles. This past June, Jeezy was in PatchWerk Studios with having songs mixed by Leslie Brathwaite assisted by Muzzy Solis.

Who's Werking in Studio 1019?

Since Gorilla Zoe's debut he has seen success in collaborations which have appeared on several Billboard charts. His first solo album, "Welcome to the Zoo", was released October 2007, peaking at #18 on the Billboard 200, #8 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and #3 on Top Rap Albums. His second solo album, "Don't Feed Da Animals", topped the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart. For the month of February 2010 Gorilla Zoe released a mixtape every day on the mixtape website DatPiff.com. Gorilla Zoe recently had a session at PatchWerk Studios with PatchWerk engineer Charles Hammond.

Abrahim Mustafa better known by his stage name Arab and also for his cameos on most of friend & CEO Soulja Boy videos, was having work done at PatchWerk this past June. Arab had vocals tracked by PatchWerk engineer Charles Hammond in studio 1019.
