Who’s in PatchWerk Studios?

In Studio 9000

Singer, songwriter and record producer, Sean Garrett was in the studio with producer Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford, working on music for Amerie. The Sessions were tracked by Garrett’s engineer Miles Walker and assisted by PatchWerk engineer Mike “Snotty” Miller.

Rick Ross ‘ second album Trilla was released and, as its predecessor Port of Miami had, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. His next album is to be titled Deeper Than Rap. Part of this album should be credited towards PatchWerk studios as he had songs mixed by Leslie Brathwaite and assistant Mike Pratt in the A Room at PatchWerk Studios.

Bow Wow is currently working on his sixth solo studio album, New Jack City II. The album is scheduled for release on March 31, 2009. Bow Wow had a session at PatchWerk this past February. Production was in part by Smash Factory and mixing was done by Leslie Brathwaite assisted by Mike Pratt.

K Michelle was in the studio with producer Drumma Boy getting songs mixed by Leslie Brathwaite and assistant Mike Pratt as well.

Other sessions in 995 included those for Trey Songz and P-Facts.

In Studio 995

Tiffany Evans was hard at work at PatchWerk on her second album, "Ponytail Krush", slated for release in early 2009. Sixteen year old Evans describes this release as a coming of age project, which she calls an “emancipating experience.” “When I sat down with my manager and the record label, I told them I did not want to be limited in the type of songs I recorded this time around. I want to make music for every one. I describe this album like turning a radio dial and no matter what type of music the station plays, you can find a Tiffany Evans record on the playlist.”

R Kelly plans to release his newest album titled 12 Play: Fourth Quarter in the summer of the year but the album has been postponed. Though the album still has no official release date and Kelly has not released an album, he has kept busy in the studio. This past January and February he was hard at work having a majority of his album tracked and mixed at PatchWerk studios. All Kelly’s session’s were recorded and mixed by his staff engineers Ian and Abel, assisted by PatchWerk engineers Mike “Snotty” Miller and Dee Brown.

Other sessions in 995 included those for 1969 Recordings, Ace Boon Coon, Rico Law, Muffy, Miss B., Mikkey, Black, the Phenoms, Kook Up Gang, Bro Dash and Sliq B.
