Who's in PatchWerk Recording Studios?

In Studio 995



Singer/Songwriter, R Kelly made PatchWerk his home this past month, bringing his entire staff, engineering crew and work ethic to the studio; Kelly worked day in and day out, and sometimes slept at the studio, to get the highly anticipated, “LP 12 Play: Fourth Quarter” album done. While in Atlanta, Kelly also stopped by Velvet Room, announcing plans for his album: "I'm out here working on the mutha----in' album. I'm working on a new album and I'm calling that mutha----a Untitled.” Uh, well, whatever the name, just know that this release should be highly anticipated! All sessions were engineered by his staff Ian, Abel and Jeff and assisted by PatchWerk engineers Mike “Snotty” Miller and Dee Brown.

The third album from Fantasia, slated to be released in February 2009 was also recorded in part at PatchWerk studios this past January. Fantasia, along with KP & Malay of Ghet-O-Vision, was in for a couple weeks working on tracks engineered by Patchwerk engineer Mike Wilson. It was also recently confirmed that Midi Mafia will be producing majority of Fantasia's next album. Hip hop duo Rock City has been confirmed to be writing on the new project. So far, they have recorded four tracks together. She will also work with R. Kelly, T-Pain, Babyface, Ne-Yo, Hudson and Raphael Saadiq.

Singer, songwriter and record producer Sean Garrett was in PatchWerk in January. He had sessions tracked by his engineer Miles Walker, assisted by PatchWerk engineer Mike Pratt.

Mario had sessions produced by KP & Malay and Madd Scientist. All sessions were engineered by Kori Anders and Mike Wilson.

Other sessions in 995 included those for Rihanna, Kook Up Gang, Skool Boi, Struggle, Ace Boon Coon, Muffy Cupcakeopia, Eric Moss and The Phenoms

In Studio 9000



R Kelly worked out of both studios B and A this past month at PatchWerk, bringing his highly anticipated, “LP 12 Play: Fourth Quarter” album to life. While in studio A, Kelly had sessions tracked and mixed by his staff Ian, Abel and Jeff and assisted by PatchWerk engineers Mike “Snotty” Miller and Dee Brown.

Rick Ross had songs mixed in the studio, by Leslie Brathwaite and assistant Mike Pratt. Ross’ latest upcoming release, Deeper Than Rap is the third studio album by Miami rapper Rick Ross. It is scheduled for a March 24th, 2009 release. The album is set to be released under his own label, Maybach Music Group.

Sean Garrett was also in Studio A at PatchWerk in January. He had sessions tracked by his engineer Miles Walker, assisted by PatchWerk engineer Mike Pratt. Garrett has also recently embarked on a career as a performer, writing and co-producing his own single "Grippin'". His debut album Turbo 919 was released June 24, 2008, on his own record label, "Bet I Penned It Music".
Other sessions in 9000 included those for HollyWeerd , Mario, Willy Northpole, Jasmine, Trey, No Compromise, Lotto, Struggle, Wild Ones, and Mary Hall Freedom House.
