The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) are attempting to recruit Internet service providers AT&T and Comcast to assist them in a new anti-piracy campaign. The new campaign would have these companies send warning notices to repeat file-swappers, eventually suspending or even terminating their accounts. Nothing is on paper as of yet but its looking grim.
A collaboration with ISP's would make good on the RIAA recent announcement that it would end its war against individual file swappers, and the efforts of the major labels to get "three strikes" or "graduated response" file -sharing laws that are active in Europe and other places.
